Louise has extensive experience in nursing and has worked in numerous clinical settings. Louise has first hand experience in how important ear health is whilst working with older adults and the problems which can occur both socially and emotionally due to hearing loss and impacted earwax:
''This is something that can be so massively overlooked, but so easily resolved which makes my job so incredibly satisfying! Many people with impacted wax and poor hearing find they avoid social situations or participate less in conversations as they lose confidence in speaking and listening. Often wax impaction happens over a long period of time so people put their hearing loss down to inefficient hearing aids, or they might think that their hearing has just deteriorated. People do adapt to having fullness in their ears and might not even notice it is even a problem, but that instant clarity of sound once wax is removed is incredible. Often people wonder how they coped before. For some it truly gives them a new lease of life!'
